Community Forum Schedule

The Dearborn Public Schools will be holding Community Forums to share information regarding the proposed changes to the high school boundaries. Parents, students, staff, and all community members are invited to attend.

The Board has not made a decision on boundaries. These meetings are being held to gather feedback to help them in their decision making process.

All profits from Pizza Friday sales go towards PBIS Rewards!  In order to make Pizza Friday a success, we need YOUR help.  Each Friday, we need (at least) two volunteers to help distribute pizza– one to take the money, the other to hand out pizza.  This is a great way to be involved at Bryant with minimal commitment.  Shifts run from 2:40 – 3:15pm on Fridays!  Sign up for any Friday you are able to work.

Hello Parents and Students!
My name is Janet Hughes, and I am the PTA Reflections Chair for the 2017-2018 school year. PTA Reflections is a national cultural arts program open to students in all grades and of all abilities. Each year thousands of students across the country reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. 
This year’s theme is Within Reach. While Reflections entries are judged at the local, district, and state levels, and awards are given to the finalists, all students will be recognized for participating. The entries must explore the theme Within Reach and will be judged on the following:
  • Interpretation: How closely the piece relates to the theme, based on the artwork itself and the artist statement.
  • Creativity: How creative and original the piece is in its conception of the theme and its presentation.
  • Technique: The level of skill demonstrated in the basic principles/techniques of the arts area.
The deadline for this year’s entries is December 1st. Each teacher will receive copies of the rules and entry form to distribute to interested students. I can also provide additional copies and any kind of support a student needs. Parents and students are welcome to text or email me with questions.

Beginning today, we are having a Battery Drive for Puerto Rico.  Hurricane Maria devastated the island over a month ago and 90% of the population is still without power and will be for another 6-12 months while they rebuild.

We are collecting batteries to help people keep their flashlights and lanterns lit and even help keep medical equipment powered on.

All size batteries are welcome, however, C and D are most needed.

Any student that donates will receive an entry in a raffle for a $25 gift card of their choice.  Each battery pack donated counts as an entry.

Also, the advisory class that donates the most battery packs will receive doughnuts!

There is a basket in every advisory class to collect the batteries.  Be sure to let your advisory teacher know that you donated.

Please join us on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 7pm for our next PTA meeting!
If you haven’t been to a PTA meeting, come find out what we are up to this year. There might even be snacks.
See you at 7pm at Bryant!

If you like buffalo wings, sports and giant TVs, join us at Buffalo Wild Wings on Michigan Avenue for our first Bryant Middle School fundraiser of the year!

Even if you don’t like those things, you should treat the whole family to dinner on Wednesday, October 25th.  A portion of your total bill (not including tax, gratuity or promotional discounts) will be donated to the Bryant PTA.
