The PTA will be having a bake/snack sale Thursday after school outside the main doors. Everything is $1. Please have exact change. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and should be sent to the office Thursday morning.
If your child has misplaced a personal belonging throughout this school year, these are the final days to retrieve them from the Lost & Found tables. We have two tables in the main hallway with lost coats, scarves, bags, etc. Any items remaining on the tables will be donated.
We still have short sleeve Howard shirts available in all sizes in blue, white and grey. Shirts are $12 each. If you are interested in buying a shirt please contact Nasreen Hider at 313-598-1166.
Please excuse the error in the prior post. Rollerskating Night will take place from 6-8 on Tuesday.

- Rollerskating Night is tomorrow (Tuesday) from 6-8PM at Lincoln Park Skate Center, 1419 Southfield Rd., Lincoln Park MI 48146. All Howard students are free!
- Our last PTA Meeting of this school year will be Wednesday at 3PM in the Media Center.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped with Field Day! The kids had a great time outside and indoors when the rain started! We’d also like to thank our sponsors: Hype, Krispy Kreme, and AirZone Party Rentals.
On Tuesday May 15 from 6:00-8:00 we will be having a skate party at Lincoln Park Skating Center (1419 Southfield Rd). Students are free, and non-students will be charged $3.00. This includes admission and skate rental. Charge for rollerblades and in-line skates will be an additional $2.00.
The PTA will have an assortment of Howard T-shirts for sale tomorrow outside of the school at dismissal. Shirts are available for $12, CASH ONLY, exact change please.
**5th Grade Parents: If your child is participating in the Instrumental Music Field Trip tomorrow and needs a school t-shirt to wear, please contact Nasreen tonight at 313-598-1166.
We are so lucky here at Howard to have such an amazing and caring staff! This week we have the opportunity to show them how much we appreciate all of the love and care and time they put into teaching and supporting our children.
The PTA kicked off Teacher Appreciation Week with a special breakfast.
On Wednesday we will have our annual Flower Day. Please have your child bring 1-2 flowers (either from home or the store) in the morning. A parent volunteer will collect the flowers before your child enters the classroom and will arrange them into a bouquet for the teacher.

The PTA would like to thank the organizers of the Color Run for a fun event this weekend! Thank you for your planning and hard work!
Teacher Appreciation Week will be celebrated from May 7th-11th. Please look for notes to come home from your homeroom parents detailing the special ways we will honor teachers and staff each day that week.
This Friday all homeroom parents should plan on setting up their teacher’s bulletin board after school.
Monday May 7th: The PTA will sponsor a breakfast for the teachers and staff.
Tuesday May 8th: Mr. Blessing will present gifts to the staff.
Wednesday May 9th: Flower Day: Please bring in 1-2 flowers, either store bought or from your garden. A parent volunteer will be present for each class at the beginning of the school day to collect the flowers and make bouquets for each teacher.
Thursday May 10th: PTA sponsors a luncheon
Friday May 11th: Each class will present a gift to their teacher. Please look for a note from the homeroom parents in your child’s folder regarding donations for this gift.
