Reminder – Five Day Penny War starts tomorrow

Just a reminder that our five-day PTA Penny War starts tomorrow!

Pennies and bills add points for your grade level.

Silver coins deduct points from other grades.

Penny War – back for one week only

It was so fun and successful last time, that we are bringing Penny War back for one week only!

From April 22 to 26, students can earn points for their class by putting pennies or cash bills into their grade’s jug outside the office before or after school.  They can reduce the points for another class by adding silver change to those containers.  (Our treasurer says bills are nice to count- really, really nice – even those singles.)

The winning grade gets bragging rights and a special treat.

New this time – if the school raises $1,200 in total, then all the students will get ice cream!

Let the games begin!

Box Tops going digital

Blame it on the blueberry Cheerios.

Box Tops for Education recently announced it will be switching to a digital program.  Instead of clipping Box Tops, supporters will be asked to download the Box Tops app and scan and submit receipts showing their eligible purchases.

For the rest of 2019, Box Tops products will be transitioning from traditional clip-and-mail Box Tops to the new scannable receipts.   You can learn more on the Box Tops website.  (Note, a new app is apparently in the works as well, but the digital Box Tops started appearing earlier than planned on those new blueberry Cheerios.)

Any printed Box Tops will still be accepted through their expiration date.  But we encourage our parents to download the app and get ready for more digital.
